ACR-Europe Connect – Vizinada

Tsering Hannaford was invited by ArtCircleResidence – Europe Connect e.V. to spend a 2 weeks residency programme in Vizinada, Croatia to connect to artists in Europe and experience the beautiful landscape and pituresque Istrian Villages for her painting experience. During her residency she also attended the Venice Biennale, visiting the Australian Pavilion and other exhibitions.
As part of the residency, Australian, German, Slovene and Croatian artists and community leaders in the art field came together to connect and discuss the future, share ideas, and give support. Event attendees included Ante Potočnjak, art director of Zagreb Art Fair and painter, Dr. Darja Zmak-Kunic, Professor and artist an Rijeka University, Faculty of Art, and Maša Gala, artist and organizer of Art Circle Slovenija which is cooperating with German artists in joint activities.

The event also supported bew connections in music with German opera singer and breathing coordination expert Barbara Tanze, who has previously participated in Art Circle events, contributing at the main eventin Vizinada and welcomed new performers and connected to previous activities.
Our newest artist to acr, Matjaz Ferenc, pianist from Slovenia, performed, as a premier, his original arrangements to the audience on 2.7.22 with accompaniment by Sara and David Circota from Croatia on flute and piano.
Hopefully they can be in attendance for the 2023 art circle program.
We were very honored to have among the outstanding guests also the former Slovenian minister for science and education, the mayor of Vizinada and prominent CEO‘s from the business community who are leaders in innovation in their field.
Among 4 visitors from Australia were Martin Bruetsch from Melbourne, who participated in an artcircle event in Canberra in 2018.

Music connects continents – Passau

On 12.07.2022 the German-Japanese Friendship association hosted a concert by Yasuto Ohara at the famous Leopoldinum Building in Passau in cooperation with ArtCircleResidence-Europe Connect (acr-europe e.V.). About 100 listeners and supporters of German-Japanese friendship were present and greeted by Norbert Palsa, president of DJG Passau. Parliamentarian and spokesperson of the Committee of foreign policy in Japan Minoru Kiuchi supported the event by his address to the audience and invited members of the association to visit Japan. Yasuto Ohara and his wife Mihoko donated their time and talent to kickstart cultural exchange after Corona isolation.

In 2019 a prominent Art Circle Residency event took place at Hofgut Schraut in Battenberg/Pfalz with 4 artists from Australia and 4 artists from Europe (Germany and Slovenia) produced art and performed music at the beautiful castle cellar and garden in the vinyards of the Pfalz.
ArtCircleResidence-Europe Connect e.V. (acr-europe) continues after Corona with a concert by Yasuto Ohara. Board members of acr-europe and supporters helped organize the event which was sponsored by Yasuto Ohara, acr-europe e.V., Dr. Anna Prinz and Dr. Hanns Zoellner and the owner of the Hofburg, the Schraut family, present with family members in three generation.
